Some things about me

I am from a small country of Armenia.

Armenia became the first state in the world to adopt Christianity as its religion (the traditional date is 301 AD).  It's a beautiful country surrounded by mountains.
There are between eight and ten million Armenians in the world.
There are between 500,000 and one million Armenians in the United States, with between 30,000 and 50,000 in the metropolitan Detroit area.
You've heard of Noah's Ark right?
Mt Ararat (in Armenia), "upon which Noah's Ark is said to have come to rest after the flood".  So there is that!

Las Vegas Trip

It's true-there is no any other city like Vegas in the whole world!  It's beyond belief and imagination  that humans can actually create, build, design all those spectacular hotels (inside and out) and make this city truly an unforgettable destination.

White Bread. Simple and Delicious.

Looking at this picture you already want to grab a piece, don't you?  I love this bread and you will too, I am sure.  Even if you wanted- you could not mess this recipe up!  I mean it.

Challah Bread

How gorgeous is this?  This is called Challah bread and every time I make this, it is so much fun for my kids as they enjoy helping me, best of all - to braid and bake, checking the oven screen every two minutes to see if it's done yet.  Smells so good!

Dinner and more.

Man!  Talking of week day dinners.

I grew up in a culture where dinners are made of fresh produce every day.  Men work to bring the money and most women stay home to raise their children, cook dinners and just say - be home makers.

Most people don't have cars back home or just one car for the whole family.  You go to a super market or those open fresh food markets to buy your produce and meat just enough to cook for a day or two.

September is here.

It was so nice to see my kids being happy and excited about going back to school!
Maybe I was not as ready as they were.

Some writing

Welcome to my Blog and thank you for your time.

I've been thinking to do this for so long!  So here I am sitting here and typing these very words.

I remember there was always something about writing I found so exciting and special, when I was in middle school.  It all started with love poems... I swear I had a thick notebook full of perfectly handwritten love poems.  It wasn't just words put next to each other... They were warm and meaningful.

When my classmates found out about my little "talent'', they'd come to me and ask me to write a love poem for someone special to them, and I loved doing that.
I also had some specialty ones - Acrostic name poems.  Now that required some serious work!  I should've charged a fee for those (now that I think about it).  Can you blame me?
My poems made me pretty popular actually:)
That was something I am telling you.

Till next time...

More than a baby.

Here are my three children: Armen, Eva and our new born Adam! Here they just met him for the first time:) It was love at first sight! And we are done with making babies! Really done.

I admit, I am a baby person.  I didn't  particularly enjoy the last months of my pregnancies - especially when you are a petite person and your babies end up being 9 lb or more..  But I do like the whole baby phase: the smell, the bathing, the baby powder, the cooing and the stretching when they waking up.

I read somewhere that "the most valuable thing you can give your children is your time..."

All three of my kids weighed around 9 lb at birth.  Eating healthy and exercising produced opposite result for me.  I'm not a soda person, particularly no cravings for ice-cream or pizza either. Yet, in the end of my pregnancies I've gained more than 50 pounds (never mind going way over with the second baby).
Something must be wrong with my husband makes me think...

The baby is out, so is some of the ''extra" that we grew during those 9 months.  What about the rest? Well, the other good portion of that "extra'' will sleep with us for a while...

My ''more'' than OK size breasts disappointed me all three times because no milk was produced hardly.

Some women don't want to breast feed for their own reasons, when others would love to, but simply can't.
Oh well, the baby formula worked just fine for us..  Our kids are perfectly healthy and that's what matters.

As if going through pregnancy, labor and delivery is so easy - now we also have to deal with the body we are left with afterwards!  It's takes only 9 months to gain, and to loose - 29 (if you are so motivated)!  I am so tired of doing that...

I'd like my body back please.  No! I WANT my body back right now!

Get busy getting it back or go crazy living with it!

Oh I am going to get mine back, watch me.
